Feature release date
14 November, 2023
What's new?
We have introduced some improvements to the end user cleanup process:
- When end users click the button Take action in their cleanup notification emails they are now asked to use their Microsoft login before being taken to their cleanup page.
- The cleanup page now includes a column called Handled by. This will contain details on who handled the item, if there are multiple owners of the item and one of the other owners has already taken care of the item. Hovering over the name will reveal whether the item was extended or unshared.
- The cleanup page now contains both items up for cleanup in the current cycle, and items that an admin has nudged the owner about.
- End users can now click an item in the list to see details about the shares, and also revoke individual shares.
The roles Admin and Super Admin will both be able to access the Cleanup area, when they sign into Tricent for Microsoft 365.
Why have we done this?
Switching to login gives a more secure approach, does away with the link expiration flow, and also opens a number of possible new features for the end users.
The improvements to the cleanup page should help alleviate a couple of misunderstandings reported by some of our customers, such as differences between the listed items in the notification email and the cleanup page.
